Co-Workers: A Short Theme

I have been at my current job for almost 5 years.  I met the gentleman below one day before I officially started.  Some of my team were gracious enough to drag him out of the office (where, I will note he is most dedicated and deserves a huge raise) to meet me at a coffee shop.

Little did I know how polite, kind, and professional he was. 

Meet Derek!

I ended up working with him almost immediately when internal auditors decended upon us.  He had dealt with them before and knew their sneaky ways.  We made a good team.  Well, I thought we made a good team.  He was always too polite to say otherwise! 

Thanks Derek, for everything.  I hope we can continue as friends and co-workers for a long time to come.
